Wanted: Artsy Girl to Join Our Artist House
Earlier this summer, we launched a home to provide intentional community living for artists and have a single room open. We’re currently hosting three students in two of the three bedrooms, and my husband and I live in the mother-in-law basement. There’s a diversity of disciplines represented, from jazz performance to graphic design. We’re quiet and relaxed, yet pretty busy and social; we host community group as well as have folks over often for community-style meals.
The house has several decks with an amazing views, wi-fi, laundry. It’s right on the bus line for the 43 and 48, making it easy to get downtown, Capitol Hill, and UW. We’re in walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, and the Washington Arboretum.
The single room is cozy, has a closet, and shares a bathroom on the main floor. Rent is $500/month. Utilities run about $20/month. We share groceries, which is $150/month. We have several housemates with special dietary needs, so we’re well-adept to accommodating with delicious meals.
We’ll need first and last month’s rent as well as security deposit of $250. Our primary requirement is that you be either studying, practicing, or supporting the arts.
If you’re interested, shoot me an e-mail [luzbratcher] [at] [gmail] [dot] [com] and we’d love to have you over for dinner to discuss.
Sadly, no pets.
